Solo & Ensemble Schedules

2026 Solo & Ensemble is coming up for our music students. This year’s event will be spread over three days at Preble High School. We’re just starting to get the performance schedules. We will add the others to this page as they become available. Students should arrive 45 minutes before their scheduled performances.

Multiple schools participate in this event and it can’t happen without volunteers from each school. Preble is looking for parents who are willing and able to monitor performance rooms both inside and outside, help with setup and cleanup, work concessions, and float or fill in doing any or all of the above. If you volunteer you WILL be able to watch your kid perform. Floaters will fill in for you during that time.

Preble’s Music Parents have made things very easy for us. They’ve created a flyer with links to everything you need to know about the different tasks and how to sign up. Check it out below and please sign up if you’re available. Thanks, and we’ll see you there!

Solo & Ensemble Weekends Approaching

We have back-to-back weekends of Solo & Ensemble coming up at Preble High School. Saturday, February 22 consists of vocal and piano. The following Saturday, March 1, consists of all other instruments (band & orchestra).

Here’s the information we have so far:

Click here for a site map of Preble High School showing performance and warm up rooms

Click here for a schedule of all East vocal/piano performers for February 22

Click here for a schedule of all East instrumental performers for March 1

An event like solo & ensemble couldn’t happen without a large team of helpers from multiple schools. Preble needs volunteers, specifically in the areas of hallway and in-room monitors, to help make sure students are in the right place and prepared so the rooms can stay on schedule. If you are available to help on either Saturday for a few hours it would be much appreciated. If you’re concerned about timing, the organizers at Preble are very good about making sure you can get away to watch your student perform when it’s time. It’s a very enjoyable volunteer opportunity, especially if you love music.

We will post more information here when/if it becomes available.

Help Needed This Weekend

Happy Friday, everyone. Rhapsody is hosting Sh’Bango at East High tomorrow and we’re still looking for a few volunteers throughout the day. If you have an hour or two to help please click this link to sign up. We’re also looking for a student/parent duo to work the Packer Gameday Pro Shop during the game on Sunday. It’s an easy, fun way to raise money for your student’s account. To get more info and sign up, click here. Thanks, and have a great weekend!

Sh’Bango Information

Volunteers Needed for Newsies Performances

Click here to view a Sign-Up Genius for performance nights. Many bake sale items are needed for each performance. These should be bagged, labeled, and indicate if it has nuts. Home baked, bakery quality, or snack mixes are preferred. We also need volunteers to come one hour prior to the performances to help with various things prior to the show, during intermission, and after the show. It’s an easy and fun way to meet other parents and see the kids. Please help out for our kids. Any questions, please contact us at eastfinearts@gmail.com.

Donations/Volunteers Still Needed for Newsies

We’ve updated the Sign-Up Genius for last few rehearsals to provide meals for the kids and teachers as they work diligently on the musical.  Please help fulfill the missing slots for food and volunteer times.  Please make sure your donation is dropped off a few hours prior to the meal time.  And if dropping off to the office, mark that it’s for musical.  Music Parent Group greatly appreciates your help.  Please reach out to Julie Miller if you have any questions.  Thank you!

Workers Needed for Sunday’s Packer game

East High music students have an opportunity to add money to their student account working at the Packer Game Day Store this Sunday at Lambeau Field from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Any available student needs to bring a parent along as well, but each person would earn $125 for working at the event, so $250 would go into the student’s account. If you are interested or have questions please click this link to e-mail Karen Iken.

Food Donations Needed for Newsies Rehearsals

With the musical approaching (buy your tickets here!) the kids are working extra hours to prepare. Rehearsals are getting longer and more frequent and some snacks and meals are needed. A detailed Sign-Up Genius list has been created with everything that’s needed over the next few weeks for food and volunteers. Click here to view the list and sign up.

If you’re interested in helping with setup/cleanup, or if you have questions about the this please contact us at eastfinearts@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you. Your help and donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
