2025 Music Banquet and Potluck Dinner

Last year we made a drastic change to the end-of-year Music Banquet, moving it from an off-site event to a potluck dinner held in the cafeteria at East High. The response and participation was overwhelmingly positive, so we’re not changing a thing in 2025.

This year’s banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 28, at 6:00 PM in the East High cafeteria. The main course – pork carnitas and a vegetarian entree – as well as lemonade will be provided by the Performing Arts Parents. We ask that attendees bring a side dish or dessert to contribute to the potluck. After the dinner

Students/Seniors: $10 for an all-day pass. There are no daytime or evening-only passes for these age groups.

Rhapsody in Red’s 2025 competition season kicks off on Saturday, January 18, at New London Singstock Festival. Here’s all the info that’s available:

Students are to meet at East High between 7:45 and 8:00 AM on Saturday. Load time is from 8:00 – 8:15. Leaving East at 8:15 AM sharp! Students must bring their own hair and makeup supplies and money for lunch. New this year: There will be a deduction in points if anyone brings in food (other than water) so do not pack a lunch.

There is also a solo competition at this event, which our own Afton Fuson won last year. The solo competition takes place in a side room throughout the day and will include Amelia Bazett Jones, Jenny Duarte Castillo, Rubi Guzman Gonzalez, and Ema Schultz. Solo comp performances will take place at 8:30, 8:45, 10:00, and 10:15 AM, but we have yet to confirm which soloist is singing at each time.

More information will be posted when/if it becomes available.

Rhapsody Revue Ticket Info and Help Needed

Rhapsody Revue is coming up this weekend – Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, at 7:00 PM in the East High Auditorium. We are asking for bake sale donations and a few helpers for each night to work the table before the show, during intermission, and for a little bit after the show.  Also looking for a few people to volunteer to be greeters and ushers.  Please consider helping out in any way.  Proceeds made from the bake sale help support the show choir so we don’t have to pay fees.
